Job application process

We process personal data of applicants for the purpose of conducting the application process. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO and Section 26 (1) BDSG (decision on the establishment of an employment relationship).

We process the data you submit to us as part of your application, in particular your name, contact details, CV, qualifications and the information provided in the application form. If you reach us via a form linked on a third-party platform (e.g. LinkedIn), we only receive the data you have entered in the form.

Your application data will be deleted no later than six months after the conclusion of the application process and notification of our decision, unless statutory retention obligations apply or you have expressly consented to longer storage (e.g. inclusion in our talent pool). You may revoke any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

Management of applications (Notion)

To manage incoming applications, we use the service Notion, provided by Notion Labs, Inc., 2300 Harrison Street, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. Your application data is stored and processed internally there. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Notion in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO. Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

AI-assisted initial assessment of applications

To process incoming applications efficiently, we use an AI system (Claude, provided by Anthropic) that creates an initial assessment and summary of the submitted application documents. This assessment serves exclusively for internal preparation and prioritization.

Important: All decisions in the application process, in particular regarding interview invitations, offers and rejections, are made exclusively by humans. No automated individual decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO takes place. The AI assessment is a supporting tool only; every application is personally reviewed and evaluated by our staff.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO in conjunction with Section 26 (1) BDSG, as well as our legitimate interest in conducting the application process efficiently (Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO). Processing by Anthropic is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO. Your data is not used by Anthropic to train AI models. Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

You have the right to object to the processing of your data by the AI system. To do so, please contact us using the contact details provided in the imprint; your application will then be processed without AI support.
